User Choice (Traineeships)

Employer Contribution Fee payable at 6 months post commencement

The User Choice program provides a public funding contribution towards the cost of training and assessment for eligible Queensland apprentices and trainees.

The program provides the flexibility for apprentices, trainees and their employers to select a preferred training provider (registered training organisation or RTO) from a list of Skills Assure suppliers (SAS) for the delivery of accredited training to meet their specific needs. SAS are training providers who have a contract with the Department of Youth Justice, Employment, Small Business and Training to deliver funded training.

Our student contribution fees are $1.60 per nominal hour for non concessional and non school based traineeships. Please contact our team to determine your specific fee. An example is provided below.

A traineeship is a structured and flexible learning pathway, made up of ‘on the job’ training in the workplace, and ‘off the job’ training with ARC.

Traineeships provide employees with an opportunity to increase skills and knowledge and upon successful completion, receive a Nationally Recognised Qualification.

A contract of training (known as a Training Agreement) is established between the employer and employee for a nominal period of time. Trainees receive regular contact from fir trainers either on-job, face to face visits, in workshops or live online.
