SIR40216 – Certificate IV in Community Pharmacy Dispensary
Skilled pharmacy technicians working in the dispensary area of the pharmacy are required to have substantial knowledge of pharmacy medicines and dispensing techniques.
Whilst they work under direct supervision of the pharmacist, they are required to provide technical support and advice to other pharmacy assistants and team members dealing with customers.
This qualification provides a pathway to the role of Dispensary Technician or Dispensary Assistant and is ideal for those, who in addition to performing routine pharmacy and retail tasks, take responsibility for higher level duties including assistance with dispensary duties.
